Real-Time IoT Fleet Tracking & Dispatch Automation
Replaced a manual dispatching system with an automated, IoT-driven React dashboard handling thousands of real-time truck coordinate updates per second.
The Cost of Blind Spots in Logistics
NovaFreight was operating a fleet of 500+ trucks using whiteboards, phone calls, and an aging Windows desktop application that crashed under the load of real-time GPS pings.
Dispatchers lacked visibility into driver route deviations, load availability, and vehicle maintenance status. This resulted in delayed deliveries, wasted fuel, and frustrated clients who couldn't get accurate tracking ETAs.
They needed a complete digital transformation: a cloud-native command center capable of ingesting massive amounts of IoT telemetry data and making it actionable in real-time.
Handling Massive Telemetry Data
We built a highly concurrent data ingestion pipeline using AWS IoT Core and DynamoDB, capable of handling sub-second pings from thousands of trucks without bottlenecking.
We developed an intelligent rules engine that automatically flagged dispatchers if a truck deviated from its geofenced route or if IoT sensors detected refrigeration anomalies in transit.
For the UI, we engineered a high-performance React application utilizing WebGL-accelerated mapping libraries. This allowed dispatchers to smoothly render and interact with hundreds of live truck nodes on a single screen without browser lag.
Command and Control Restored
"Moving from our legacy system to the platform SovrinLabs built felt like stepping from the 1990s into the future. Total operational clarity."
We can audit your current architecture, identify delivery risks, and map a pragmatic path to stronger performance and product clarity.
